Detailed Description

the IOCTL call in flight on a client, which a user event registered by that call binds to

DriverKit turns the caller's async reference into the call's completion action; the client keeps it here while its ioctl() runs. Its calls run on a reentrant queue of its own, which a kernel event waiting within one gives up.
